Broadway performance:
This Broadway-inspired musical theatre performance program offers students the chance to train at an advanced, industry-focused level while experiencing the thrill of performing on three major festival main stages. Performers develop elite skills in singing, dancing, and acting through high-level rehearsals that mirror professional training environments. With multiple high-profile performance opportunities, students build confidence, stage presence, and versatility—leveling up their technique while showcasing their talent to real audiences. It’s the ultimate program for passionate performers ready to step into the spotlight and take their musical theatre journey to the next level.
Part One: WARRANDYTE FESTIVAL: MARCH 28TH
6-week Rehearsal Period (Feb/March)
Students in this teen musical theatre performance program will train and perform at an industry level, culminating in the thrill of appearing on the main stage at the Warrandyte Festival. Performers will showcase both solo and ensemble numbers from hit shows like Wicked, Aladdin, and more, gaining real-world stage experience in front of a live festival audience. Rehearsals combine high-energy singing, dance, and acting training, helping students sharpen their skills, build confidence, and level up their performance technique—perfect preparation for future auditions and professional performance opportunities.
Part Two: JUNIOR THEATRE CELEBRATION: AUGUST 1ST
6-week Rehearsal Period (June/July)
JTC Melbourne is an unforgettable, jazz-hand-filled day designed to inspire and celebrate the next generation of musical theatre performers. Young artists take to the stage to perform a 15 minute Broadway musical performance, receiving encouraging industry-informed feedback from professional guest artists that helps them grow in confidence and skill. Previous guest artists include Lucy Durack (Wicked, Legally Blonde) & Alinta Chidzey (Moulin Rouge)
Alongside the performances, students dive into high-energy workshops (Singing, Dancing & Acting) that build technique, teamwork and stage presence, all within a vibrant, supportive festival atmosphere. It’s an exciting chance for young performers to learn, perform, connect and truly thrive!
Part Three: FAMILY SHOWCASE & CHRISTMAS CAROLS: TBC
8-week Rehearsal Period (October/December)
Students will round out their performance year with a showcase for family and friends of their JTC performance plus solo, duet & ensemble numbers they will work on in class to practice their audition technique and find their unique vocal and character style.
Then they will finish off the year with a performance at the local Carols by Candlelight, in front of a crowd of 10,000+ people, working with a professional band to spread some musical theatre joy and Christmas cheer as they showcase their progress over this year long program.
