Class Summary:
The weekly classes will focus on developing more in-depth and advanced dance, singing and acting skills so that students are trained to become mature triple-threat performers. Time will be dedicated each week to the three disciplines: dance, singing and acting. This will ensure that students are strengthening areas they excel in as well as areas that require more development. Students will work towards a full-scale musical production at the end of each semester in a professional theatre with full costumes, props, lighting and sound which are included in the term fees.
Students are taught audition techniques in a safe and friendly environment when offered the chance to audition for their desired roles each semester. All students are cast in a speaking role that will challenge them, based on their skill level and will be included in chorus numbers. Performers will also learn theatre etiquette and what is involved in putting on a theatre production.
Most importantly students will have fun, become more confident performing and speaking in front of their peers and large crowds, thus gaining important tools for the rest of their life.
